Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear Clients,

Starting June 15, 2021, we will offer 2 options to assist you based on these guidelines:

1.) We will open for in-person interviews and client shopping on Tuesday June 15. Proof of vaccination will be required at your first in person visit and will be noted in your file and not needed for future visits. Masks will be required as you enter as we confirm your status and then optional for vaccinated clients and volunteers. If you have children, please know that we cannot accommodate children in the building at this time.

2.) If you have not been vaccinated or are unable to come in person for medical reasons, please continue to call in for assistance. We will be happy to help you over the phone as we have been doing since March 2020 and bring your food to your car.

We look forward to continuing to serve you in whichever manner works best for you.

Thank you,
Parker Task Force Volunteers

Please note:
If you are not a resident of Parker, Elizabeth or Franktown we have a Resource Guide for areas outside of our service area you can reference and print.

Parker Task Force Volunteers named as a 2021 winner of
The Rotary Club of Parker Impact Award

Thank you Rotary Club of Parker for recognizing our volunteers and honoring them with an Impact Award.  The award was presented during the State of the Town video meeting over Zoom. Rotarian Lisa Neal-Graves created an awesome video and we thank her for that as well as all of the Rotarians that made the award and video meeting possible.  Also, the volunteers give a shout out to Volunteer Chairman, Steve Budnack, for his kind words and gestures.  His leadership is appreciated as he sets the example with Rotary’s guiding principle of “Service above Self”.

A Letter of Thanks For Making The November Food Drive Such A Success!

November 17, 2020

Saturday November 14, 2020 was a special day at the Parker Task Force food bank.  During our drive-up food drive the community donated 317 cases of food, enough to feed 150 families.   We have not been able to have our usual community food drives at the grocery stores because of the pandemic so the drive-up food drive was essential to restock the shelves of the food bank.  We are assisting a record number of clients and project that to continue.  We appreciate our donors more than ever in these unprecedented times. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us:  donors, volunteers, and the Rotary Club of Parker.  For over 33 years the community has been there to support its neighbors in need through the Parker Task Force.  For that I am grateful.

Senator Bennett Visits the Parker Task Force

Senator Bennett and some of his staff visited PTF on Friday 7/14/17. He was impressed and said he hadn't seen a food bank that could compare anywhere in the state. We were surprised to receive the phone call from his staff asking for the tour and visit, but certainly enjoyed hosting him and his staff.

Many Thanks To The Rotarians
For Their On-Going Support And Service!

With cuts coming to programs designed to help the needy with their utility bills, The Parker Task Force wants to recognize the Rotary Clubs for their support to help provide this vital service to our clients.

The PTF would like to thank the Rotary Club of Parker, Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club of Parker, Rotary Club of Castle Pines, Rotary Club of Castle Rock and the Rotary Club of Centennial. The clubs held fundraisers that included a peach sale with Joy Lutheran Church and a karaoke contest at Takoda Tavern to raise money to help fund a grant for PTF. We also want to thank IREA for its contribution to this utility grant.

The Rotary Clubs’ motto “Service Above Self”, exemplifies the spirit of the organization and their ongoing support of PTF. We are grateful for this long and valuable association and so are the many families who come to us for support and assistance.
